Construction Trucks Grid Game {FREE} Preschool Printable

Today's free preschool printable is a fun construction truck grid game!

I'll be honest...I love grid games! Rolling a die, subitizing, counting, eye-hand coordination, predicting, subtracting, statistics, one-to-one concept reinforcement, and more can all be wrapped up into a deceptively simple game. Plus, in this case, you get to talk about construction trucks as you cover them up!

Playing the game is very straight forward. Each player gets a board. When it is your turn roll the die and cover the number of construction trucks indicated by the die. When you cover all your trucks, you win! Keep playing until everyone wins!

I included two boards in this game: one for younger preschoolers with only 10 construction trucks on it (totally works as a 10 Frame too!) and one with 24 trucks on it for older preschoolers. You can even use two dice and have your kiddos add the numbers together to figure out how many trucks to cover. This, of course, adds in another math skill to an already awesome little game!

You can use any small marker to cover the trucks. We like buttons, pompoms, beans, and erasers. If you're really lucky, you might find packages of construction truck or other transportation vehicle erasers to use to cover each truck. This totally made kids' day!

My favorite way to store grid games is by gluing them inside a file folder game, and putting them in a plastic file folder box. They're easy to get out and easy to play!

And, as always, I LOVE to hear from you!! I would be so delighted to see a picture of your kiddos using this construction truck grid game! Feel free to send me a note, email, comment, or stop by my Preschool Powol Packets Facebook page!
